![]() I feel the bead sight hampers this somewhat. Inspired by Hickok45, I walked out to about 75 yards and hit steel about 2/3 of the time with the slugs. This cut down to about 35 yards with the Winchester SuperX and Wolf 00 buckshot for a decent hit on a gong. I could make hits on steel out to 50 yards reliably with the #1 buck Federal Flight Control. I fired approximately 25 rounds of assorted 00 buck, 15 rounds of #1 buck Federal Flight Control and a couple boxes of 2 3/4 slugs. ![]() ![]() Then moved on to the hotter stuff, for the funz. I started out with 100 rounds of birdshot. I can bring this weapon up using the push pull technique with a solid grip and sight right down the barrel into the bead with no problems or broken teef for that matter. Has all the 590 edition goodness: Easy to breakdown front end assembly, heavy barrel, drilled and tapped receiver, dual extractors, twin action bars, anti jam elevator and the action is smooth, especially after I threw some Mobil 1 on the tube. I was pleasantly surprised by the trigger. The birds head grip design doesn't break the wrist like the traditional vertical grip PGO styled gun I fondly remember shooting at a buddies ranch (Mossberg Cruiser)
